01.03.2013

In February 2014 the Bulgarian Executive Forestry Agency announced a public tender for the Elaboration, public consultation and endorsement of a Strategic Plan for Development of the Forestry Sector in Bulgaria for the period 2013-2022.

The document will be developed as part of Project “Strategic Planning of Bulgarian Forests – a Guarantee for Their Effective Management and Sustainable Development” in the framework of Priority Axis 1 “Good Governance”, sub-priority 1.3. “Effective coordination and partnerships in developing and implementing policies” of Operational Programme “Administrative Capacity”, co-funded by the European Social Find.
The project hopes to achieve a wide stakeholder participation and common consensus on the Strategic Plan through broad public discussions, six regional round table meetings and one national meeting all represented by the various forestry sector stakeholders and the public in general.
